Kildare County Council and Meath County Council have prepared Proposed Material Alterations to the Draft Maynooth and Environs Joint Local Area Plan 2025-2031.
In accordance with Section 20(3)(f) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended), it has been determined that a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is required for some proposed material alterations and an Appropriate Assessment (AA) is not required for the proposed material alterations.
In this regard, the following documents are published for inspection and public consultation:
Proposed Material Alterations to the Draft Maynooth and Environs Joint Local Area Plan 2025-2031 and to the Strategic Flood Risk Assessment
Addendum to the SEA Environmental Report pursuant to the SEA Directive and Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004-2011 containing an assessment of the Proposed Material Alterations.
Screening Report for the purposes of Appropriate Assessment (AA) pursuant to the EU Habitats Directive (92/43/EEC) and Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) containing an assessment of the Proposed Material Alterations.
The Proposed Material Alterations and associated SEA and AA documents will be placed on public display and may be inspectedfrom Friday 8th of November to 4pm on Friday 6th December 2024 during normal opening hours at the following locations:
Ratoath Municipal District Office, Drumree Road, Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath.

Written submissions or observations with respect to the Proposed Material Alterations to the Draft Maynooth and Environs Joint Local Area Plan 2025-2031 and associated documents, may be made within the above period and before 4pm on Friday 6th of December 2024.
Submissions or observations in relation to any other aspects of the Draft Plan cannot be considered at this stage in the process.
